Is it really free for homeowners?
Yes, completely. Getting an Instant Quote from the Fair Rate Index costs nothing and requires no account. When you book a job, you pay the agreed price — no markup, no platform surcharge on top. The 15% fee comes out of what the worker receives, not from you.
How does escrow work?
When you book a job, YSKAIPE captures payment via Stripe and holds it. The worker's contact details and your address are only shared after payment is captured. When the job is complete and you confirm, YSKAIPE releases the worker's payment same day. If there's an issue, YSKAIPE resolves it — swap the worker or issue a refund.
What does "YSKAIPE Qualified" mean?
It's our internal designation — not a license claim. Workers complete an application, verify their identity, sign an Independent Contractor agreement, and connect Stripe for payouts. They earn the badge, can lose it, and can be replaced under it. It signals vetting, not certification.
Can workers under 18 join?
Yes — through the
YSKAIPE Junior Program. Workers aged 14+ can join with parental co-signature on the IC agreement. Jobs are age-tiered: 14–15 year olds get light physical work, 15–17 year olds unlock most Tier 2 jobs, 18+ gets full access. Payment goes to a custodial Stripe account under the parent's name.
What's the difference between a worker and a licensed pro?
Workers are YSKAIPE Qualified locals — no license required — who handle Tier 2 services: power washing, moving help, lawn care, painting, handyman work, event setup, and more. Licensed pros are trade-certified contractors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing, etc.) who subscribe at $99/month for matched leads in their licensed trade. Both use the same FRI pricing and escrow system.
What if I'm unhappy with the work?
Contact YSKAIPE before confirming completion. We'll triage the issue — if warranted, we swap the worker (sending someone else to finish or redo the job) or issue a refund. Payment is never released until you confirm, so you're never left without recourse.
Is the $99/month licensed pro rate going up?
The founding rate is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. Standard tiers will be announced after the First Fifty cohort closes — at higher prices. Founding pros keep their rate permanently.
